FAQ: Arthritis Treatment

What causes Arthritis?
A couple of years I came across a theory that postulated that all arthritis
except that due to overuse is due to virus. I began treating arthritis patients
based upon that theory about three years ago. Up until then I would
basically do what other practitioners of Oriental Medicine do by treating the
symptoms with acupuncture and sometimes herbs aimed at stopping the
progression or rebuilding cartilage or reducing the pain. I could make
people feel better. With osteoarthritis of knees and other joints, I could get
someone pain free and functioning well. In one case a 75 year old man with
overuse arthritis of the knees returned to jogging after a few acupuncture
treatments.
But before my discoveries I had patients who had rheumatoid arthritis with
severe deformities of the joints of the fingers who I wasn't able to help, until I
created an herbal formula to eliminate the viruses. Since none of the herbs in
the formula were dangerous in any way, these patients were willing to try. It
took three to six months on the herbs, three months for one, six months for
the other, for the pain and swelling to stop. They still had the deformities,
swollen joints, they had when we started (nothing can change that since in
these patients the swollen joints where a change to the bone), but the pain
stopped and they had no further joint damage. I have since treated others
with similar success.
The key to healing is taking the herbs for 3 to 6 months or longer if
necessary. The patients became pain free gradually over time, so they knew
they were getting helped. It is not as though on the last day of the 3rd or 6th
month the herbs suddenly worked. So you will know the herbs are working,
but it is a gradual process. On the other hand how long did it take for the
joint problems to get where they are now?
I review information you provide in my new patient information form. At that
time I also conduct an examination and ask further questions about your
symptoms. I literally modify the formula I designed in general to defeat the
viruses based on my findings at this initial appointment. So you are getting a
